West Virginia Hemp Enthusiasts Hoping to See Their Industry Grow
“PARKERSBURG – A group interested in growing industrial hemp for a variety of uses as a new cash crop for West Virginia farmers is working to carefully navigate possible obstacles to the process.
About 75 people attended a conference on the issue Friday at the Blennerhassett Hotel in Parkersburg organized by the West Virginia Hemp Farmers Cooperative and the West Virginia Hemp Industry Association.
The conference featured speakers on a variety of issues involved in hemp cultivation and production of hemp-related products.
